Creating a Catalogue Listing

Catalogue Listings allow you to add individual items, properties, products or services to your Cognivox catalogue.

The information you enter becomes part of the structured catalogue information available to your AI receptionist when handling relevant customer enquiries.

Before Creating a Listing

Before adding a listing, make sure the appropriate catalogue category has already been created.

Categories help organise your listings and allow Cognivox to understand what type of item, property, product or service the listing represents.

Creating a New Listing

Open the Catalogue section in Cognivox and choose the option to create a new listing.

Select the appropriate category for the listing and enter the requested information.

The fields available may vary depending on the type of catalogue and category you are using.

Enter as much accurate information as possible so that Cognivox has useful information available when customers make enquiries.

Listing Information

Depending on your catalogue configuration, a listing may contain information such as:

  • listing title or name;
  • category;
  • description;
  • price or rent;
  • location;
  • availability or status;
  • reference information;
  • and other details specific to the type of listing.

For a property catalogue, additional information may include:

  • property type;
  • number of bedrooms;
  • number of bathrooms;
  • sale or rental status;
  • asking price or monthly rent;
  • address or area;
  • property features;
  • and a description of the property.

Saving the Listing

Review the information carefully before saving the listing.

Once saved, the listing becomes part of your Cognivox catalogue and can be used when your AI receptionist handles relevant catalogue enquiries.

Keeping Information Accurate

Catalogue information should be kept accurate and up to date.

If information changes, such as the price, availability or status of a listing, update the catalogue entry so that Cognivox does not rely on outdated information.

Your AI receptionist should only use the information contained in your configured catalogue and should not invent information that has not been provided.
