Deleting a Catalogue Listing

You can delete a catalogue listing when it is no longer required.

Deleting a listing removes it from your active Cognivox catalogue and prevents the AI receptionist from using that listing when handling future catalogue enquiries.

Before Deleting a Listing

Before deleting a listing, make sure that it is no longer required.

For example, you may want to delete a listing if:

  • it was created by mistake;
  • it is a duplicate;
  • the item, product or service is no longer offered;
  • or the listing should no longer form part of your catalogue.

For listings that are simply no longer available, consider whether changing the listing's status is more appropriate than deleting it.

For example, a property that has been sold or let may be better marked with the appropriate status rather than removed completely.

Deleting a Listing

Open the Catalogue section in Cognivox and locate the listing you want to remove.

Choose the option to delete the listing.

Check carefully that you have selected the correct listing before confirming the deletion.

After Deleting a Listing

Once the listing has been deleted, it will no longer be available as an active catalogue listing for Cognivox to use when handling customer enquiries.

If the information may be needed again, consider updating the listing's status instead of deleting it.
