What If My Chosen Number Is No Longer Available?
Telephone number availability can change between the time you select a number and the time Cognivox is permitted to provision it.
This is particularly relevant where regulatory approval is required.
Why can this happen?
The telephone number displayed during onboarding is available when Cognivox performs the number search.
Selecting it does not necessarily reserve it with the telecommunications network.
If regulatory approval takes some time, the number could become unavailable before Cognivox attempts to provision it.
What happens to my account?
Nothing is lost.
Your Cognivox account and completed onboarding information remain in place.
Cognivox will tell you that the selected number is no longer available and allow you to choose another number.
Will I have to start onboarding again?
Normally, no.
You should only need to select another suitable available number and continue from the appropriate stage.
Additional regulatory information may only be required if the replacement number has different regulatory requirements.
When is a number confirmed?
A telephone number is confirmed only after Cognivox has successfully provisioned it.
Once provisioning succeeds, Cognivox records the number against your company account.
